Visited Apache Elementary School during the week of January 26, 2009. Her visit was the kick off to our Chautauqua storytelling project this semester in Charlotte Bradshaw's fourth grade.
Sunny Dooley is a Navajo Treasure and just may be considered the Navajo Nation's Poet Laureate and Storyteller, in my humble opinion.
Sunny Dooley is able to weave the ordinary events of live into a rich, detailed and full-bodied story delightful to all the senses. During the Winter time, Sunney tells the stories that were passed down to her from her grandfather.
